If I could live in any time or place, I think I'd very much like to live in Paris in the 1900s or 1920s. Arguing philosophy over coffee. Watching people stroll through the gardens. Rubbing elbows with various French and expat painters and writers. Poetry over pasteries. In my head, Paris can always be that smokey, romantic city of dreams. 
 
This piece was born of that. I was given an art challenge involving several shades of what I always think of as absinthe green. There was no choice but to lean in.
