For this piece, I wanted to create a sense of waiting, not simply excited anticipation, but the bone-weary tiredness of waiting for something big, something life-changing. When I realized what the title was, I realized I'd poured four agonizing years of waiting for my daughter into this painting.
 
The original work was created with watercolor. Each print is on linen-finish cream cotton paper and features golden accents added by hand.
