Art Nouveau is one of my favorite artistic movements. Beginning in roughly the 1880s, it was a short-lived style that burned in the flames of WWI in the 1910s. It's a bold reaction against the coal dust and bone-crushing machinary of the Industrial Revolution. I love the stylized florals and the inclination to bring nature into everything we touch. I love the goal to make all things beautiful, even if those things were doorknobs or coat hooks or tiles around a fireplace.
 
The original art, featuring five classic art nouveau tiles and one design of my own, was painted in watercolors, incliding a white shimmer paint. The 4x6 print is on shimmery heavy card stock.
