The Hare and The Pear

Welcome whimsigoths, wood nymphs and fellow weirdos.
The Hare and The Pear was a pandemic baby. Tired of being that woman “who used to draw so much as a kid,” Jennifer Leigh bought herself a sketchbook and a set of artist’s pencils. Sitting at her desk, drawing, painting and resining into the wee hours, she found a freedom and peace her anxious heart didn’t know was possible.
As a person who gets emotional over ornate doorknobs, fall leaves scattered on the sidewalk, and all kinds of music, she wanted to create thoughtful, beautiful art that would add a bit of specialness to someone’s day. She incorporates nature -- plants, birds, the night sky, and more -- into nearly all of her work because art is like laying in a field of flowers in the summer or the rush of air around you as you bike down the street or the songs that nature sings if we’re still enough to listen. Free. Comforting. Beautiful.
